Storing Shoes So They Keep Their Shape
Trees, rotation, boxes and the mistakes that ruin a collection.
Cedar shoe trees inserted while the shoe is still warm pull moisture out and hold the vamp flat, preventing the deep toe crease that eventually cracks.
Rotate pairs so no shoe is worn two days running. Store off the floor, out of plastic bins, and away from exterior walls in North Texas homes where summer heat radiates through.
Boots need shaft support — rolled magazines or boot shapers stop the shaft folding over and creasing at the ankle. Never store leather in the original plastic wrap.
When to bring it to us instead
